How to Upload a Print Ad in the Specials control:
- Convert .pdf to a.jpg – open .pdf, resize to fit on site, use snap shot tool to take picture
- Create the .jpg- open paint, Ctrl + V to paste the snap shot into paint, save as in “My Pictures,” choose .jpg, make sure the name is simple
- Open WMX, go to “Specials,” “Print Ads,”
- Select "New Print Ad" at the top of the page
- Give the print Ad a Name, Start Date, End Date, and Rank if you have more then one live
- "Linked Document" is for the .pdf. If you want to use the .pdf you have to have a "picture" to link it from.
- "Picture" is the image you want to show on your website. Instructions 1-2 explains how to convert a pdf to a jpg. You can use a different image, such as a newspaper, to link the .pdf from. You DO NOT have to have a "Linked Document" but you MUST have a "Picture." for this control
- Click Save
How to Upload a Print Ad in a "Content Page"
- Convert .pdf to a.jpg – open .pdf, resize to fit on site, use snap shot tool to take picture
- Create the .jpg- open paint, Ctrl + V to paste the snap shot into paint, save as in “My Pictures,” choose .jpg, make sure the name is simple
- Open WMX, go to “Content,” “Content Pages,” Find the page it is on (you will know by the end of the address in your browser on your live site), select “PAGE,” open the markup the print ad is in, click on the existing print ad (if replacing), click the yellow mountain image, go to the “print ad” folder, click upload, click browse, find your “My Pictures” folder, select the saved print ad, click open, click upload, select the file name and that will place the new print ad in the markup.
